The PC era is now coming to a halt and its time for the more high-tech areas to flourish. The gaming consoles,music players,portable systems and more. The new iMacs can now even run windows. They can use the Microsoft OS quite efficiently. It can be networked with Windows PCs and the iMacs can now use almost all printer,keyboard. scanners and mouse devices.
Linux kernel 2.6 getting buggy
May 6, 2006 on 3:30 pm | In Hardware News | No CommentsAndrew Morton, the head maintainer of the Linux production kernel, is concerned about the amount of bugs cropping up in the 2.6 kernel.
He is considering the possibility of dedicating an entire release cycle to fixing long standing bugs.
One problem is that few developers are motivated to work on bugs, according to Morton. This is particularly a problem for bugs that affect old computers or peripherals, as kernel developers working for corporations don’t tend to care about out-of-date hardware.
Recently, A lot of kernel developers are employed by Tech companies, like hardware manufacturers, which can cause problems as they can mainly be motivated by self-interest
AOL joins the VoIP bandwagon

They are also going to introduce an unlimited version for $14.95/mo and you have to make the calls from your PC.
It will be interesting to see if it’s more of a IM live voice chat or a true VoIP. They also plan to go head to head with MySpace in the time to come.
