Google enters UK mobile market
June 28, 2006 on 2:18 pm | In Mobile Buzz | No CommentsAccording to the numbers released there are twice as many Mobile phone users in the world as there are PCs. Mobile is growing at a much faster pace than PCs, and Google is certainly keeping an eye on it.
Google have decided to tap this market in the UK and launched their email and news aggregation services for mobile users. The mobile players will not be unhappy with this as more and more customers will opt for WAP and GPRS on their phones to access these services by google. So as long as the telecom companies are being paid for data transfers no one should have any objection.
All in all this is great progress and certainly in the right direction.

Link Building Guide
June 5, 2006 on 12:33 pm | In Daily News | No CommentsIn the world of SEO the most important thing one has to learn is obtaining Backlinks to your site. The Backlinks help you increase your PageRank and also provides you with natural traffic. I’ve come across a great Link building guide provided by ‘Jim Westergren’ on his weblog.
Link building guide provides you with a step by step guide which tells you the importance of finer aspects of link building, such as varying anchor texts, linking from related pages, gradual buying of links, good neighbourhood sites and 3 way linking.
In the blog he not only explains what to do but also how to obtain the links. Link baiting is a popular method suggesting you to make people talk about your site on forums, Deli.cio.us, Digg or even blogs. Link vaults, DP co-op ads, 3 way link exchanges, buying higher PR links and directory listings are some other techniques which can prove useful.
I suggest all newbies or for that matter even expert webmasters to have a look at this guide.
