The first Money lending and borrowing exchange service which was launched a year back in the UK is now extending it’s service to people in the US, it’s called Zopa or Zone of Possible Agreement.

The Website is Zopa.com, where people who have money at their disposal can lend it to trustworthy borrowers who are short on cash. They claim since there is no manager or middle man both the lenders and borrowers get a great deal.

The people behind Zopa assure the lenders a return of between 6% and 9% on their money. The money they receive from this interest can be either withdrawn as monthly payments or lend it again to another borrower. Zopa diligently makes use of the credit reference agencies like Equifax and Callcredit to check borrowers’ credentials and past financial history.

Zopa will be coming to San Francisco and recruiting more members to the Zopa California team. At the moment they already have over 75000 registrants from UK and running successfully.
